Good LUCK!! We close on our house on the 16th--finally. Buyers market?? Uhh yeah, if you know how to play the game I guess. We lost 4 contracts before this one went through. They were all short sales! I really hope this one turns out for ya, yipeeee!

Update: We did not get the property. This time, the seller underhandedly used our offer to attract something higher. We thought we were being nice by allowing them an extra day "to consult with family in the UK"; that time was probably used to gather the other offer. What a waste of time dealing with dishonest people!

Are you sure they accepted another offer? Did they give you the opportunity to counter? It would seem to me if the seller wanted the highest price and they had another offer they would have asked you for a counter or your highest offer. Maybe you would have offered more than the other.

How is that dishonest? Obviously the property was worth more to someone else. You weren't under contract. Seller did nothing wrong. Hope you find something you love more.
