let us hope and yes even pray that this is working. Can you believe our federal governement tried to stop BP from this test? I think they want more oil to hit our shores.

Yes, great news! Just saw that online! I hope it holds, and that the relief wells are finished soon and also are successful. I will be praying on it for sure.

sure hope it works.

it is a sick but believeable assumption that the administration would like it to fail, after all they can never let a catastrophe go to waste.

this afternoon the annointed one came out and made the statement of how WE have stopped the flow. i guess i missed him coming out of the water in his scuba suit. i wonder if he would have used the WE if the device did not work.

I have a question. I understand the theory that there could be a leak down below, but the pipe casing is miles down, the likelihood of that being damaged I think is remote. I do think the wet tap bottom kill solution is going to be very hard to pull off.

I have although not an extensive amount of experience/understanding of boring underground, and even though they use gps, and lasers, hitting a pipe dead on from such a distance is extremely hard. So I hope that they can make a flawless tap / shut off / bottom kill without incident.

big house----------i spoke to a guy on the beach that claims to be an expert, i am sure you know to take that with a grain of salt. but in any case he says that the reason we have this problem is that the fire boats put water on the burning well. this caused the rig to sink and when it did it fell to the side snapping off the drill pipe at the blow out preventer and also putting kinks or bends below the bop. if thats the case then it will cause a weak spot or stress spot at the bend. he says if they had not put water on it the well would have continued to burn and all the oil would have burned and not spewed into the gulf. he also said something about top killing it by stuffing empty yuengling bottles into it but there were not enough empties available. well maybe he didnt say the last sentence.

Where do you find this BS? if the government wanted oil to keep flowing from broken oil wells do you think they would stop at just one rig? there are 4000 rigs out in the gulf they'd be blowing them up daily if your assumptions were correct.
