OK, I'd like someone to turn the heat on! Seems like it's going to be a repeat of last year.

I spent Christmas up in Orlando with the Mouse at Disney and in the evenings it was just to damn cold to walk around.

My mom/partner was out showing property and she stopped by Venice Beach to show some clients the area and The Herald Tribune was out there looking for the crazies on the beach. She said they were one of the only one's out there.

December poised to set record for cold | HeraldTribune.com

Looks like it might warm up for New Years though.

This summer when I was up here, it was warmer and more humid up here, now I'm up here, and its just as cold down there (minus a couple inches of snow). But, in a couple days it will be in the 70s there and 30s-20s up here.

Hang tough!! Endure, survive, live long and prosper! Everything goes in cycles. Even the weather. Maybe I should be considered a genius and prove the theory of cycles - like Einstein did with Relativity. LOL NAH, - I'll let someone else take the credit.

You guys are cracking me up! I'm looking forward to one day complaining about those temperatures in winter (and using plastic knives/credit cards to scrape my windshield)!!

We just purchased a new vehicle and I wondered if we really needed to order the "cold weather package" (including heated seats and steering wheel) since we are hoping to move down there next year. I guess those features will be put to good use at times down there as well!

Seriously, I feel really bad for the farmers and their ruined crops. Hope these abnormal temperatures end soon.

I think that all real estate agents in Florida should be shaking in their shoes right about now! But in a couple days, they will be all earning so much money selling houses to the shivering masses that they can afford to write the risk off.

LOL...went to the nutcracker ballet over at the Van Wezel on Sunday afternoon. Put my wonderful hat on as I walked through the blustery, freezing parking lot by Sarasota Bay. People were WISHING they had my hat on! Got a newer hat than that one at the Atomic Bazaar at the beginning of the month (yes I know this is Sarasota & that's why my collection of wool head apparel is growing: think arctic oscillation!). Go to www.picassosmoonyarn.com & check out the nice warm winter apparel necessary for braving winter in SRQ!

This tells me one thing: don't get rid of my winter jacket when I move to Florida in a couple years.
