Default Thanksgiving Dinner

Will be in the Venice area over the holiday and I am looking for suggestions for a good restaurant that serves a traditional thanksgiving dinner.

Respectfully Submitted,

Hi Catsupbottle (love your name by the way),

Here's thread from last year that discusses this subject. You might find it helpful:

Oh Man!! Now I'm starving!
We are getting ready to head off to a tail gate party, and can't wait to get there so I can chow down!

I love Thanksgiving! I can watch football and sleep for days afterward! :-) We always have great thanksgiving tail gate parties where they fix turkeys and all the trimmings! Awesome!!

You ought to go by a football stadium around thanksgiving! People are always open to feeding others, and often times just ask for a contribution of some kind to help cover the costs. You'll get a great meal there and meet some fun people as well. That is one time when tail gaters open up there tables and gang together to serve a bunch of people, and don't mind crashers! :-)

Anyone looking to adopt an elderly aunt, let me know. I don't eat much. I'll bring the wine. (speaking of wine, time for a glass of Merlot)

By the way, someone asked this question last year. Maybe this will help.

We had an excellent Thanksgiving dinner at the Columbian restaurant at St. Armand's circle.

We will be going back there this year for sure!

You may want to see if any of the Amish places in Sarasota do it. There are 2 or 3 on Bahia Vista off 41 or Cattlemen. If anyone does tradition it is the Amish way of cooking
