Tonight I made one of my biggest restaurant choice mistakes.

This place stinks!

The rudest manageress I've experienced in 30 years of Florida dining.

How can a restaurant which serves coleslaw as a fixed side not have coleslaw and then the waitress say she didn't know?

Diners on the next table sent steaks back as inedible.

Oh, no! That's awful. The Boatyard is one of our favorite places to go. We love the staff and have always had great service. We've taken family there while they were visiting us, and that was the one place they wanted to go back to before going home.

We've had many things on the menu and have loved it all so far. (Never tried the steak) The only complaint I have had is about their "side" salad. It's so small, it's laughable. It looks more like the condiments for a burger. But their entree salads are awesome.

They also do a "NICE pour" with my wine...right up to the top. Maybe that's why I love it there!

I live in Tampa and evertime I travel to Sarasota I go to The Boatyard. They have the best waterfront view and their food and service is excellent. I visited the Boatyard over the holidays and had the Prime Rib, the best I’ve had in 15 years of living in Florida. I would highly recommend a visit for the food, entertainment and a terrific view of the intercoastal.

It's the best seafood restaurant in Sarasota. I found the staff to be great fun, well informed and the water view--you just can't beat.

I haven't been there lately, last time there it was still Coasters? But heard from someone last week it was wonderful as well! They said the entire meal and service was awesome. Glad to hear it, cause it was always a great place to visit while at Siesta.
