I am liking the looks of Palmer Ranch, too--but, someone told me that it would very conservative in there.....true--I am coming from The Villages--and the primary reason I am moving is because it is almost 100% Republican....and Republican values....I like a mixture.
Did you mean Woodbrook, the new Neal community? There is also a Woodbridge on Lockwood Ridge Road, but it is a somewhat older community built in the late 1990's into early 2000's.

I live quite close to Woodbrook and have watched it's deveopment from cow pastures to, at last count, over 60 homes sold. I would not consider it too far removed, as the location is about a 5 minute drive from Lakewood Ranch to the east or University Parkway and it's shopping centers, restaurants, etc to the south. Woodbrook sits on the corner of Honore and Lockwood, and Honore is a pretty, landscaped road that will take you to University Parkway near the outlet mall and 3 other shopping centers.

Neal Communities has been very actively building in south Manatee county. They've also bought up several other parcels of land for future developments and they will be opening up a new community on SR70 just east of the Lockwood Road intersection this fall which will consist of paired villas.

Default Where to live...

Yes, I meant Woodbrook (NEAL)----there are some possibilities there for me---so, I want to look. I am also going to look at Cascades---know anything about that over 55 community?
Going to look at a NEAL COMMUNITY over in Lakewood Ranch and going to look at a couple in Palmer Ranch.

I am moving from The Villages---and hated it here--mostly because of the politics..the greed of the developer....AND, I found that I didn't use most of the things The Villages has to offer (not a golfer)....I just want a safe place....with some activity---a clubhouse, pool, park would be nice for the dog, Hillary Rodham--or at least a place to walk......
