Default Is there work for inexperienced CNAs?

Hello!

My husband and I will be moving from Montana to Florida, probably to the Venice area, this summer. I am a nursing student and contemplating getting my CNA license before or immediately after we move but I was wondering if anyone knows if there is any work available for CNAs with no experience in the Venice area??

Thank you SO much in advance!

Sorry, but there are few industries here that I've seen that hire the inexperienced, including the healthcare field. But, start getting your resume out and see what happens! You just never know! If no responses, maybe delay your move for a short time while you get 6 months or so of work under your belt, then try again. Good luck!

If you choose to get your CNA license after you move to Florida, you will do an internship and possibly get hired. Many of the jobs require experience but there are a variety of opportunities for someone with a CNA license such as home health care, nursing homes, hospitals, doctor offices, etc. Check out www.indeed.com, www.simplyhired.com, www.jobfocus.com, www.employflorida.com, and www.yoursun.com to see what is available and what requirements they are asking for. Also don't forget to check out the local hospitals by going directly to their web sites. It also doesn't hurt to call a Florida local school that offers the CNA program and ask to speak to the Director of the program. They can provide you with great insight.
