Well, I've been going through my jewelry box and there are many items I just don't wear anymore, so I was wondering if anybody here would recommend a local (Bradenton/Ellenton) business that buys gold and diamonds as well as other gems. Basically old jewelry. Some is in great shape, others broken (chains). If anyone in the area has dealt with local buyers, please let me know! Any input, including friends or their own personal experience, would be appreciated. Thanks.

There's a coin shop in Sarasota on Osprey Just a block south Ringling Blvd. that I've dealt with for selling gold. Can't think of their name but they're extremely fair & always buying.

PaulaC my 2 cents here BUT get more than one quote. The price varies greatly and you can make some $$$ by being patient and shopping around. Also, in the Port Charlotte Sun Flea market is a jewlery shop run by George and Susan who will by your items at a fair price.

Thank you all for the input. I will be out and about next week anyway, so I may be able to get to a few places to the south! I will definately get a few quotes, thank you for the suggestion. I appreciate your responses. Now, I just need to figure out which pieces I really can do without and get some prices.
