In my mind, Venice is beautiful and expensive, but what's going on...?

Prices have gone up since last year in Venice. There are very few homes below the $50k range now. Most of them are older homes, bank foreclosures, short sales and most are fixer uppers. The lower priced homes are mobile homes. Here is the current list in the MLS under $50k.
