I would have to vote for the Hub. Those are definitely the best Margaritas anywhere. And, live music! That's ALWAYS a plus.

This Saturday is the 2nd. Anyway, there is really no place with a view in the village to eat. If it was me I would go to the Salty Dog up on Lido. Or maybe down to Pop's or Pelican Alley in Nokomis. All have water views. And then head to the village for ice cream.

Great music in the rear courtyard at the Cottage, and the food as usual IMHO is the best in the village or you can sit on the deck at the front and people watch

Default Ophelias ugh,ugh

We went to Ophelias yesterday for brunch, absolutely horrendous, the prime rib is now roast beef, the crab legs were either left over or way overdone tasted like dish water, and the crabmeat was tough and had water running out of the legs the pastries were obviously store bought, when the place got busier the trays were empty and you couldn't move, the free bloody mary wash watered down,We would never go back plus I don't like being forced to valet my car, after we were done took 15 minutes for the valet to show up so we could leave.

Wow, that is discouraging. We have had the brunch there three times, and found it very good each time (this, in spite of not caring much for the place for dinner). None of those complaints (with the exception of the Bloody Mary being weak) was even close to true for us. Maybe it is something to do with the difference between seasonal and off-season service.

As for the valet complaint, it takes a small amount of the legitimacy from your other complaints, because, well, what would you suggest they do? Obviously the town is not going to let them have patrons parking up and down the street, and I doubt they're going to spend a couple hundred thousand for a small lot, so...uh, valet it is, right?

Default ophelias

well interesting that the valet was parking cars on midnight pass since the lot was full and god only knows where else i caught him walking way on the other side of the road as we waited about 10-15 minutes for him to show up

We were down for a visit in June and had a great lunch at The Cottage. The exterior and interior decor don't really give you the impression of what the food will be. Looks like a typical seafood shack but the food was Peruvian inspired. Interesting food, great presentation. Really enjoyed it.
