First, I would like to thank everyone in this forum for your valuable input/comments!!!

Since I joined this discussion group in April 2012, I have bought a couple of condos for the purpose of renting them out only. So far so good.

I am currently shopping around for Home insurance. I have been getting several quotes from different insurance companies. The quote varies from as low as $520 per year to $ 800 per year. The coverage is very similar.

I have got quotes from American Strategic Insurance, Universal Property and Casualty Insurance and finally from Citizens Property Insurance Corp. Which of these three companies is the best? Which one has a reputation of poor quality service?

Aside from the above questions, I have three more:

1) Which is the top insurance company in the state of Florida?
2) Which one provide the lowest/best quote without sacrificing the coverage of your home?
3) Which one provide top notch customer service?

Thank you for comments again!

I have ASI homeowner insurance but I have never had a claim so I don't know how fast they would be in a claim or anyting about their customer service. The insurance agent I used was AAA. They can get you quotes from various agencies and shop around for you. You don't have to be a member of AAA to get home or auto insurance through them. I have Met Life for my auto and my rate was cut in half from using Allstate previously. And I, once again, called AAA and they shopped around for me and Met Life and Traveler's were the cheapest for auto. I went with Met Life because it was cheaper if I paid the entire year in one lump sum. You can also get discounts if you get auto and home from AAA. Good luck. It does pay to shop around though.

I also have ASI through Ark Royal. Rates are very reasonable, hope I never have to comment about a claim. I recently just added our pool and they are very nice to deal with, prompt and courteous.

the person that analyzed this for me was familiar with the claim service as well as rates. she also reccomended travelers for vehicle insurance. i recently checked out USAA and travelers was still much better than even USAA.
