Looking for information about Stoneybrook. Planning on moving to Venice once house is sold. Looking for activities. Does anyone know if they have things geared for retirement aged people like scheduled activities like cards, mini trips etc. I see they have an activities director on site but can't find anything else that is offered. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks.

If you email the activities director she can get back to you with the type of activities they plan for residents. clubhouse@stoneybrookvenice.com

The community center includes a resort-style swimming pool, a kid’s splash pool, and an in-line skating park. For grown-ups, there’s a health club with an on-site activity director, aerobics studio and four lighted tennis courts. For kids of all ages, there’s a basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, greenbelt, tot lot and a multi-purpose sports field. Default Stoneybrook@Venice

Hi, we have a home on Stoneybrook. There are lots of Different activities organised for retired and almost retiredeople. This last week we had a pre Thanksgiving dinner with around 100 plus attending, it was really a great evening. The following night we had a 'concert in the park' type event held here on Stoenybrook, again a great evening. There are weekly card type events including - bridge, poker and bunko - more dice game. There is a weekly ladies lunch and lots more activities - even someone who organises cruises. When snow bird season starts lots of other events will be happening. Pm me if you would like to have more info or speak to me.
Regards, Janet

Stoneybrook is a CDD. Factor in about an additional $1800 a year to pay the developers mortgage bonds besides your own home owner mortgage and/or property taxes and maintenence fees.

There is a CDD on Stoneybrook, but is nowhere near the 1800 that was previously mentioned. We have paid ours off in a lump sum for a fraction of what it would have cost us over the 30 year term.
