Threads on this forum are generally lacking when it comes to pictures. Thanks for giving this thread a boost with eye candy.

I like the pumpkin color. So done with 50 shades of beige.

ruthinraleigh,
Yes, I recall seeing the slightly different 'elevations' and effects that WCI used up in Tidewater vs VG&RC.

We have a few Borettos here that have that separate casita situ, vs golf cart garage. My boss would have liked both, lol, as she commandeered the back spare bedroom for her fiber art and art quilt studio, and she wanted the cart, too.

I don't recall if your model, with those elevations, comes with gutters and downspouts, but I highly rec'd adding them soon after build.

Fwiw, we hired a home inspector for the pre-close walk through: we hadn't been through the house and I figured a detailed pair of extra eyes could find stuff immediately vs us maybe finding stuff later. He found a bunch.
Good Luck with your new home.
BR, mD

Any construction project is dependent on the quality of the sub-contractors that are hired. If the General contractor has his eye on buying a new Lexus, he will hire anybody and will accept the lowest bidder. If a sub that installs cabinets hires someone where their last job was minimum wage lawn mowing, it will show in the quality of the installation.

I love your granite and choice of inside and outside colors but would have put the tile in a on a diagonal - makes a huge difference. Are you going to have pool?

Having lived near this construction zone and watching it grow, I can say cheap labor and homes built too quickly are key factors to dissuade this type of expensive investment. My wife and I frequently comment why would anyone pay so much for these homes and pay so much for hoa? To add salt to wounds, if you sell, you need full disclosure...

We had tile on diag in our Naples house. In this house it made very little diff to our eyes via the entry and room(s) flow. Everyone has their own sense of look...

No pool; didn't have one in Naples and none here. Fountain and inside lanai border landscaping on the TTD list. For the once a season our granddaughter shows up, it is a 6 min walk to the pools. I realize the 'cosmetics' of a pool, as many have them, but for strictly winter season time 'use' as a 2nd home, we passed again.

The OP's problems are exactly why no one should buy a new home without a Realtor representing them.

That option was perfect for me as I wanted an art studio that was not in the main part of the house, and since the casita is attached, but only accessible by the outside door, that option fit the bill. I can leave the house, and walk a few steps to "go to work" in my studio. But my studio projects will stay safely separated from the rest of the house. Win-Win!

I too liked a few different features better in the Corregio and the Agostino. But overall, the Boretto ticked most of our boxes for what my husband and I wanted in a floor plan. We did consider one other builder where a casita for an art studio would have been detached, and I LOVED that idea, but that was a semi-custom builder and we probably would have tacked on another $100K to the cost of the house to go that route. Plus, the community pool at Tidewater Preserve was the only one I saw that has a ramp access into the pool, and that means I can actually use the pool, instead of just look at it.

This is our place in progress.
Hi Ruth -- nice house! How big is the casita?

Hi kiggy!

Altogether the casita is about 11'x22' and includes a little foyer with a closet, bathroom and main room. The main room is 11'2" x 11'5". Here's the floorplan of the whole house.
