Sarasota/ Bradenton
I was recently offered job in the Venice area. We currently live in the Melbourne area. (Brevard Cnty) and are looking for a great place close to work and close to Tampa. We are looking for a master planned community atmosphere Newer stores, schools, communities, town. A rated schools are a huge plus. Low crime rate. I havent a clue on where to look over there. Please help!!!! How is Bradenton, Ellington, Brandon is a little far, but I heard it was nice. Is it worth the commute? We are looking to rent for a year in a nice neighborhood and then purchase possibly within that year. Help Please!!
We are a couple in our mid 30s with 2 kids 2 and 8.

If the job is in Venice you will be better off with a place in North Port. The commute from Bradenton/Sarasota will get very old, very fast. There are hundreds of brand new homes in North Port that the builders would love to sell you. I think the last number I heard was 500+ in builder inventory, and 2,200+ in total homes on the market in North Port.
I don't have kids, so I know nothing about schools. North Port is growing, and there are plenty of new businesses popping up.
On a good day it will take 60 minutes to get to any part of Bradenton that you want to live in. Ellenton is even farther.

off of I-75 is exit 217 SR 70 east and there is Braden River. Great area and good schools. Your 20 minutes from Venice in good traffic. Than your looking at 1 hour or less to Tampa. I'm working at the school there and the development is excellent. Good luck.

Lakewood Ranch is a zoo! Houses rae so close you thinmk you were in a major city and the taxes are outrageous. Traffic is a joke. It willl take you 30 minutes just got to the INterstate never mind the travel time to Venice. Count on it more like an hour. No kidding that place is insane!

''Audacious'' is a tad audacious if you know what I mean---not to mention the rest...
