I'm looking for an honest and good mechanic in Sarasota for my Honda and Toyota's. Just moved here from CT and we loved our old mechanic. He never pushed any repairs before their time, charged fair and honest rates and guaranteed his work. He had a great reputation in town. Anyone like that here?

Don't overlook that sometimes the dealer is the best option. In a former life I was a ASE certified mechanic. The dealer will have specific tools and information available that small shops may not have.

Thanks Picshooter. I live in Sarasota, east of 75 but willing to travel to use a good mechanic. I already received a quote from the dealership and I'm shopping for a second opinion.

I have used Automotive Clinic at Lime and 17th Street for years and just love them. They are honest and will give you several options to choose from based upon your need and your wallet. They won't try to sell you something you don't need. Being female, this is very important to me.

I take my Toyota to the dealer on 41 in Sarasota and have never went anywhere else. Fast, knowledgeable, and fair.

I've used Family Auto Repair a few times and have been pretty impressed with his honesty. They are located near Clark and Mcintosh in a light industrial area. Seem like good people and were fair on the service $$$$
