I am strongly considering moving to Sarasota to open the new C&B. It will be opening at the Mall at University Town Center. Any ideas for good neighborhoods around that area? Thanks in advance.

There are lots of neighborhoods near the new mall, some have better school districts than other. If you give more specifics as to what a great neighborhood is for you (ie deed restrictions or not, school districts a priority or not, community amenities like clubhouse & pool necessary, etc) then I could make specific suggestions. Also whether you are looking for a single family home or condo/villa/townhome.

I should have put all of that in my first post. I am a single guy without kids, looking to rent at first. Swimming pool would be nice as well.

First, I do not personally handle rentals. However, I often hear about properties for rent as the mall area is my back yard so to speak.

For apartment rentals you might try:
Lost Creek Apartments in Lakewood Ranch
Turnbury Park at Palm Aire
Tuscany Apartments on University Pkwy (really close to the mall)
Traditions at Palm Aire

There are a number of condo communities that typically have rentals as well that are near by, such as:
Carolina Landings (very close to the mall)
Village at Townpark in Lakewood Ranch
Greenbrook Village in Lakewood Ranch (I actually know of 2 townhomes for rent there if you'd like to dm me for rental contact info)
The Gardens in Palm Aire (I heard of one unit that may be for rent soon)
Eagle Creek in Palm Aire
Las Palmas on Honore
The Meadows is a golf & country club community with quite a few condo commuities located within, very short drive to the mall.
Sabal Harbour/Sabal Key (a little further away but still about 10 minutes to the mall)
Lighthouse Cove at Heritage Harbour

I can probably come up with some more suggestions if none of these work out for you.

You'll like Tuscany. Nice clean complex, and your commute will be 3 minutes.

Congrats! Did you find a place to live? I'll re-suggest 34243 as one of the best places for a mall manager to be in.
