Is it possible to rent a house/condo/apt in Englewood or Venice for under $950 that is clean and safe? Or am I deluding myself? Thanks!

Yes. It won't be in the best location, but most of englewood and venice are safe. It will probably be an older home.

I like the idea of an older home. Thanks for your thoughts!

Just to clarify, are you talking about a seasonal rental or an annual rental?

Good question! I assumed annual. No chance for seasonal!

This is totally unrelated to your thread, but I noticed your user name of lap swimmer. Have you see the ymca at Potter Park? The Sharks train there. It is amazing the number of lanes and the size of the pool. It is a Y so obviously you don't have to be a competitive swimmer to swim there. In fact the early morning swim group looked pretty darn social to me. Half swimming and half chatting. There is also a very large water park type of pool with slides etc. Great place to be a kid.

Thanks Cardiff. You read our minds! We are lap swimmers and near the top of our list is finding an affordable town by the sea that has a great outdoor lap pool! I swim about a mile daily (easily) and wife about three days a week. I will look! Thanks!
