Riverview High School does offer IB program and Sarasota High is also a good school, but you also have Suncoast Poly Tech H S which is excellent. A great neighborhood for families and one that lies in those school zones and has easy access to everything is the Three Oaks. This area is 6 miles to Siesta Key, near parks, shopping, restaurants, hospital and easy access to I75.

I totally agree with this^^. I've heard rave reviews on Riverviews IB program as well as Suncoast Poly. Sarasota High is just fine as well. My middle girl has lots of friends who go to all three schools. I also would agree with the assessment on Three Oaks. Everyone I know who lives there is very pleased with the community. The proximity to activities is also excellent.
