Looking to relocate my job to Punta Gorda in the near future and after checking schools for our 8 and 5 year olds we think Venice would be a good place to live. I will probably move before the rest of my family does so my kids can finish the school year but either way I'll need to find an apartment to rent once I get to Venice. We will probably rent anyway once they come down for a while so I would be looking for at least a 3 bedroom apartment. I would love to find something not much over $1000/mo but that can be raised a little. The problem is my wife has MMN which is similar to ALS so medical bills had added up and after getting screwed by the hospital ended up on our credit so now our credit is poor. Not sure where to really look if they base renting on credit score. Any suggestions? Thanks!
