Oh my...thanks for all the advice on this! I did just see my typo error in my first post....I DO NOT have carpet in the bathrooms!! That would be awful! I meant there was carpet in the bedrooms....and that's where I want the wood floor. Kitchen and bath are all tile!

We have engineered hardwood over Concrete. After prep, a vinyl (linoleum) floor is glued down followed by the tongue and groove engineered hardwood. We really like it. And we don't always run the A/C.

Ok, thanks for the correction from the original post, baths vs. beds makes all the difference in the world !!
Hardwood in bedrooms is a great idea. I have wood in my bedroom & office. No problems here in Sarasota.
