Bob--Isn't what most people in their 20s want is to find a mate?
Maybe. But, assuming that is the case, I'd bet the vast majority don't meet their mates in bars.

Exactly Naples is pretty bad as well, Naples is a nice town but too many old rich people for my likening. Most of my family that loved to Florida moved to South Florida like Palm Beach and Broward country that place is geeezer central and well and the people are pretty rude.

Huh? frankly I don't think you've lived anywhere CLOSE to Florida ever in your life. "Too many old rich people" for your stomach ? that's insulting to the process of aging (and I'm NOT "old" in that sense). You think Palm Beach is "geezer central" ? bud, you're way off base about that AND Broward. Yes, Naples is older - it's older than Sarasota for sure, but if you've actually BEEN around and LIVED around Ft. Myers/Naples/Estero/nFM, Sarasota , Lakewood Ranch, all over SE Manatee County, you would have seen tons of younger professionals, entrepreneurs, families with young children, immigrants from all over the world, younger physicians, dentists, accountants, brokers, business owners, teachers, retail managers, students in all of the local colleges (USF, SCOF,SRQTECH, Manatee Tech, Keiser, Argosy, etc). The city of SRQ, the counties in swFL are constantly evolving. By the way, I'd rather be around "old rich people" who I might learn something from, than a bunch of young(er) stupid rednecks.

my cousins are in there late 20s, early 30s and they go out all the time but not sure where, i am just south of 50, we like downtown sarasota area, we do see lots of younger crowds there as well as our age when we go there so i think she would need to come check it out for yourself, maybe stay with her cop friend for the weekend and see for herself... sarasota is not as old as people make it out to be... during the season yes but normally not too bad...just my 2 cents...

Met my husband of 28 years in a bar - go figure - that is how it was done back in the day.

Hubby & I are coffee-aholics. We met in a coffee shop before there was Starbucks.

and fyi, the OP still has not come back so we are not talking to her, just chatting amongst ourselves.

Your defensiveness about the Tampa/Orlando area of Florida always gives you away.

Why is it that you need to create new identities and repetedly show up projecting your absolutist thoughts on people instead of actually having a give and take encounter, and maintaining a continuous identity on the forum. Just because you can think something, does not make it either relevant or even accurate. Contributing instead of trying to take over and throwing dogma at people is far more productive.

In this case how do you really think it is not redundant for you to tell people where they have not lived or anything else about them. You don't know them or their experiences. Because you seem to lie to be here does not mean they are lying. You are quite presumptuous and yet transparent in each incarnation that you bring to C-D Forum.

Thanks. This was a rough week in many ways, and this was the funniest thing I have read in a very long time.

( I notice they don't sell 'time release' capsules in the pharmacies down there. Not a good investment at all)
