I've been in Sarasota going on 5 years in October and still haven't taken advantage of all the fun things around town. One thing, I finally did was get out on the LeBarge sunset cruise, I set to do the dinner cruise my first spring here, but I bailed at the last minute, the dinner cruise will be next off my list. Anyway, I had a very nice time on the Lebarge little two hour cruise.

Just a couple of picture, I was able to grab before my camera died on me after dropping it for the third time. Sigh. Some of the other pics I got from my meetup group.

There is indeed a bar on that cruise.

Marina Jacks also has another cruise that is a Prime Rib / Salmon buffet. $260 for 4 people, and it's about a 90 minute cruise. We saw the boat pictured from the OP following behind us the entire time of the cruise. Fun route, worth doing, even more worth doing if friends/family are in town and they want to get on the water a bit without getting wet and have their bellies full when they are done. Food was fantastic.

LOL! Yes, I was supposed to go on the one you went on my first time over there, I'll get there eventually. But we did go over to Marina Jack's after for dining and dancing, cost just about balanced out.

I had a strawberry daiquiri, it was refreshing considering how hot it was that evening, I think next time, I'd prefer to go a little earlier in the spring though. They serve up a variety alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. I went with a group of about 30+ in my group.

We just did the canoe rental at Snook Haven. It was great. They have a nice pontoon cruise for the less adventurous. You'll see gators on each.
