I recommend Tile Outlets of America - Sarasota
I have been to both the Sarasota and Ft Myers locations

We have engineered hardwood in the main parts of our house - family room, dining room, kitchen, pantry, hallways, and storage room. It is starting to warp and separate and was original to the home built in 2006. It has tons of scratches on it from our two dogs nails (beagles). It is easy to keep clean though. We are going to replace it but haven't decided with what yet. Tile will pretty much last forever and is very durable in Florida.

The aesthetics of hardwood can't be beat but since that does not seem to be the most practical option in FL, I would go with a high quality vinyl plank, like Allure Ultra. First time I saw it I didn't even realize it wasn't hardwood until touching it.

Showcase Floors in Venice did a great job of tiling our home. The living room and dining room was all carpet. Yuck. We redid it all living, dining, kitchen, bathrooms and just put new carpets in the bedrooms - kinda wish we put some hardwood in the bedrooms - but I would never want wood all through the home -
And put the tile on the diagonal - it is worth the extra cost - our home looks great!

Totally agree! All my tile is diagonal. Takes a little more in labor, and a little more waste from cut tiles, but it looks WAY nicer. I think that grid tile is very ugly versus diagonal.

Yep, that definitely is the new look. I got that size in porcelain tiles for my lanai....shades of gray, beige and white....absolutely love it!

I'll see if I can get some good photos later today - still unpacking and waiting for new furniture to be delivered so rooms don't look their best just yet. But we've been in the home 6 weeks now and I absolutely LOVE the flooring.

12" x 24" are beautiful, I just used them in my bathroom remodel, but if you want big tile try a five-foot by ten-foot tile. Yeah, that's not a typo. I took this picture at Coverings in Orlando, the biggest tile show annually stateside, last April:
