I know you posted the pic for the tile, but just wanted to say what a brilliant placement of a pantry. Corners usually waste so much space.

On the 12 x 24 tile issue, I am both pleased and dismayed to hear it is the hot new thing. We have it in our bathrooms in the house we are building. If this is the hot thing, it is going to date our house. I tried to pick all classic finishes that would be timeless. Didn't know I had picked a trendy thing. Ours looks like brown cement.

If I'm understanding your posts correctly, it looks like you demolished a really nice kitchen and replaced it with something a little more dated. Both pictures show big rectangular tiles.

??? I'm confused by this comment? Two different photos were posted by two different people. I posted one photo, and "mr&mrssunshine" posted the other photo. Two different houses.

I like classic - never want to buy "the newest thing" - it will just end up dated like everything else.

Buyers these days are even looking for Mid Century Modern and keeping their old pink bathrooms!

Yes, and some of us have 83-year-old father's-in-law who can't follow directions and ruin beautiful pink tile countertops and bowls and have to have their no-good son-in-law bail them out of trouble. Tightwad and handyman is a combination for disaster.
