Art Walk at Towles Court, downtown Sarasota -- 6 to 11:59 pm.
Cruzin to the Hop Car Show -- at Bradenton Hooters on US41, 6 - 9 pm.

Special exhibit at University Town Center - Empire of Hidden Treasures: 20 x 30 ft replica of Machu Pichu, Peruvian music & food, other promotions. Sat & Sun 1-4, then each weekend thru Oct 18th.
SATURDAY
Sarasota Farmers Market -- 7 am to 1 pm, Lemon & Main.
Sarasota/Manatee Heart Walk -- at Nathan Benderson Park, must raise at least $100 to qualify, 5K & 1K walks, starts at 7:30 am.

Lifes a Beach Triathalon -- billed as a kinder, gentler triathalon event. Registration starts at 6 am, event at 8 am. Beach bash afterwards for participants. Lido Beach Resort.
Music on the Porch -- at the FL Maritime Museum, locals invited to bring your instruments and participate in jam sessions, 2 - 5 pm, free admission, bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the music.
Up With People -- musical production by young people promoting appreciation of diversity, love and volunteering. 50th anniversary of Up With People touring US and around the world. Venice Performing Arts Center, 7 pm, tickets $15/adults, $10 for students and children.
Rockin Wings Festival -- contest to determine the best wings in Sarasota, music by various tribute bands of Rolling Stones, Motley Crue, etc. Vendors, kidz zone, motorcycle thrill show. Payne Park in Sarasota. Sat 12 - 10 pm, Sun 11 - 5 pm. Adults $5, 12 & under get in free.
Cruizin to the Hop Car Show -- at Joey D's Pizza in Bradenton, Cortez & US41 (behind Rooms to Go), 6 - 9 pm.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof playing at the Players Theatre in Sarasota, 7:30 pm performances. Tickets $25 - $30.
SUNDAY
Heatstroke Hot Rod Hoedown -- Bradenton's giant block party with live music, hot rods, hot food, cool bikes & cold beer. Free admission, food & beverage vendors. 12 pm to ??? at P Mans Classic Cycle Paint, 721 7th Ave W.
Siesta Key Drum Circle -- just before sunset at Siesta Key public beach, free event.
