I hve a cousin who purchase a Lennar homes in Venice, FL off Center Rd and was wondering if anyone currently owns a Lennar home and are you happy with it? I was wondering about their reputation and quality of homes for the dollar. They seem to be buliding homes within subdivsions that cater to familes that consit of entertainment center, pool, tennis courts, bb court, volleyyball, etc, but at a price per month for Homeowners association fees.

Default Lennar Homes

One of the worst production home builders in Sarasota County. Had to sign sworn papers not to talk.

I'm assuming the community you are referring to is Stoneybrook of Venice?

There were some issues that I recall reading about in the local newspaper. I think it might of had to do with the water and sewer being put in and them assessing the homeowners too much, but I can't quite remember. I Googled Lennar Homes Venice FL and couldn't seem to come up with any articles HMMm...

I worked for a sub contractor who did a lot of work for Lennar/U.S. Home during the "boom". I would not take one of their homes if it was given to me for free. Those things were thrown together way too fast, and often without benefit of proper inspections.
