I was laughing to myself last night.I read another story of a citizen in Bradenton who saw someone messing with wires and arrested him with his gun in hand.
Southeners/lol
Surprised too that you can buy licquer when ever you want.I heard at one time you could buy it in a drive out.
Supposed to be the last state w/o time restrictions.
Can't buy alchol in Ct after 8pm in the supermarket and not on Sundays.

I think Florida is one of the few states you can buy beer at the gas station. But no alcohol before noon on Sundays! Most places you can get booze to go before 2 a.m.

RE: Your question about how to keep snakes out of your garage - use crushed moth balls. Scatter them around your house - snakes will not cross over this barrier. Pest control companies will charge you megabucks to do this simple task and call it something exotic. Go get some moth balls, put them in a zip lock bag and beat the heck out of them with a hammer or mallet. Then just spread them around.

Also, I have not heard any mention of fire ants in any of these horror stories about alligators, etc. Those critters are all over the place in the Sarasota, Venice area! I found a product that absolutely works for their stings - it's called Stops the Sting. Put it on after you get stung (and you WILL get stung) and it totally stops the pain and in most cases, no blisters afterward!! No itching for weeks, either! Go to their web site: www.stopsthesting.com and check them out! It only costs $5 a tube, and is WELL worth the money!!

I photographed a gator swimming down longboat key the other night in the company of a small pod of dolphins.
In our HOA gators are common most ponds have one but they are fairly small up to 5-6 feet. They seem to ignore the people. The people accept the gators. When they get too big they disappear so I assume that the HOA clears out the big ones ?

So post a picture. There is an awful lot of salt water to cross with no major source of fresh flowing in to get to LBK. Never heard of a gator making that sort of crossing before. But stuff happens. If you said you only saw it, that could be questioned for a long time. But you said you have pictures - how splendid! Post one (or more) please.
