Hi, I am looking to move to the Sarasota/Venice area this year. I would like to rent for a year and then when I turn 55 move into a 55 and over development. I recently lost my job and am currently unemployed. I'm thinking this is the time to make the move and start a new chapter.

The job market is very difficult unless you are in health care and certain other niche areas. Food and rent is expensive here - not a place for an unemployed person - you need a job BEFORE you come here. Not trying to be mean - just telling the truth.
