Holiday Night of Lights on St. Armands Circle -- 5:30 to 9:00 pm, carol sing-a-long, Santa arrives, tree lighting ceremony.
North Port Tree Lighting & Poinsettia Festival -- starts at 6 pm at the North Port City Hall Campus, live entertainment, Santa, food vendors.
Lakewood Ranch's Music On Main event -- live music, street festival with vendors & kids activities, 6 - 9 pm.
Bradenton Blues Festival Weekend Blues Appetizer Concert -- free concert 6 - 9 pm at the downtown Bradenton Riverwalk Pavillion. Bring lawn chairs.

Village Christmas Artwalk -- Bradenton's Village of the Arts. Fri 6 - 9:30 am, Sat 11 am - 4 pm.

Night Before Christmas at GT Bray Park, Bradenton -- fun filled event for the family, Santa arrives by helicopter, 15 tons of
SNOW to play in, hayrides, cookie crafts, concessions. Activities wrist bands $7.50 per person. Runs 4 - 7:30 pm.
Venice Christmas Boat Parade -- starts at 6 pm at the Albee Rd Bridge in Nokomis and travels south on the intracoastal waterway to the Circus Bridge in Venice.
Sarasota Holiday Parade -- starts at 7 pm and runs down Main Street. Floats, marching bands and Santa.
Winter Arts & Crafts Show -- at the Venice Community Center, 10 am - 2 pm, free admission.
Braden River Boat Parade -- informal boat parade from Jiggs Landing to Linger Lodge, starts at 5:30 pm.
Palmetto's Christmas in the Park -- a Country Christmas. Kids crafts, reindeer games, snow hill, petting coral, Santa arrives at 4 pm. Even runs 3 - 8 pm. Free admission. Palmetto Historical Park, 515 10th Ave W, Palmetto.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Holly Days & Mangrove Lights Celebration at Historic Spanish Point, Osprey. This will run each Saturday & Sunday 5 - 8 pm in December. Regular admission rates.

Sarasota's Ski-A-Rees Water Ski Team performs their water ski show at 2 pm. Behind Mote Marine at 1602 Ken Thompson Pkwy.
Singing Christmas Tree -- 7 performances by the choir of the First Sarasota Downtown Baptist Church. 30 foot tall "tree" with over 10,000 lights, over 100 person choir. Tickets $15/person and can be purchased on line at

MONDAY
Christmas Concert by the Venice Concert Band -- 7 pm performance, tickets $7/person, Venice Performing Arts Center.
