Hi, I'm looking to buy in the Isles of Palmer Ranch. Looking for a home inspector with experience with these units. Since they are well-built (poured concrete or block) and less than 10 years old, I'm looking for someone that's familiar with possible problem areas vs. an exhaustive inspection. For example, I've read that the roofing can be a problem.

My first suggestion is to check your contract regarding independent inspections. Most builders (including DiVosta) have terms regarding this. The inspector usually is required to provide to the builder proof of a certain $ level of liability insurance coverage. The builder will also probably require the inspection to be set up through the construction manager or designated rep, and in advance (usually 7 - 10 days advance notice). You'll need this info before you start contacting potential home inspectors.
As to where to search for inspectors, a good option is the ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) website at
https://www.homeinspector.org/ .
All ASHI members are required to conduct home inspections following extensive guidelines found on their site.
There are quite a few ASHI affiliated home inspectors in our area, including a number I have dealt with directly with good results.
