Moving for school, need advice on where to live
Hello, I am moving across the country to go to school at Ringling. Coming from oregon i don't know the area too well. I am 23 and was wondering if anyone had any feedback as to the neighborhood or area that i should be looking for a rental house. I have two dogs, one of witch is an extremely well behaved great dane. lots of area and maybe even a park. Anything could help.

Congrats on School
Congrats on getting into Ringling - Great School. Obviousley being close to the school would be important to you, however the other consideration is cost. How much do you have to spend on the rental? West of the Trail near the Ringling Museume would be a good place to start looking as would the area just south of the airport - some good rentals. I did a quick search of rentals that allow pets- generally they allow 1 small animal and for a 2/2 they started at 800a month. With the great dane you would want a yard I would think. Did another search for houses and found this one on MacIntosh - a nice area. "Sweet home directly on McIntosh close to shopping and Bee Ridge to I-75. Fenced yard for your pet or kids. Block home has low utilities. Out of state owner has maintained home very nicely; looking for happy tenants." Asking 750 and you do maintenance. About 15 minutes by car to Ringling in traffic.

Us too.
We are also planning to move so that my husband can go to Ringling---and we also have a great dane! If we can make this work out--maybe we will meet you.

Congrats on the acceptance into Ringling! I'm hoping my daughter attends Ringling or New College.
It might be a little hard to find a place with a big dog like a Great Dane but there are a lot of places for rent, so there may be some places that would be willing to take a large dog. Be sure to check out the dog beach next to Sharkey's in Venice. There are a couple of really sweet Great Danes that frequent the dog beach
