I've lived in North Port but didn't leave there due to crime. I left because there was little to do that suited my interest. Murder can occur anywhere even in Sarasota. I don't think statistics will show North Port to be prone to having a murder problem. You are more likely to get bored to death there rather than being shot.

I agree; the Corvettes in North Port can be quite insane. The Porsches are much more sane by far.

I don't get it. North Port is listed as a much lower crime rate than Sarasota. One murder and someone has designated this city as crime ridden? You do know what happened in Brentwood?

That takes me back in time. My only speeding ticket ever was when I was driving a Chevette through Kansas one summer. It was a 4 cyl automatic and I was going up hill. Speed limits then were 55 mph and the officer claimed I was doing 64. Yeah, right, had nothing to do with the out of state tags.
