Hi Everyone,

Hope you all have a great weekend, Here's the list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area:



Thru Jan. 27

Manatee County Fair -- all the carnival rides, fried foods, entertainment, livestock, etc that you expect to see at a county fair.

FRIDAY

Free Music Friday Night -- Venice's Centennial Park at the gazebo, 7 - 9 pm,. bring lawn chairs.

Ceilidh -- Celtic social gathering of food, music & dancing. 7 - 10 pm, Sarasota county fairgrounds, $10/person.



FRIDAY - SUNDAY

Big Top at the Big Cat Habitat -- fundraiser, Cirque Ma'Ceo performs Fri 6 pm, Sat 3:30 & 6 pm, Sun 3:30 pm. Event takes place each Fri - Sun now thru Feb 3rd. Tickets $10/ea or family 4 pack for $60. 7101 Palmer Blvd, Sarasota.

Englewood Seafood & Music Festival -- Seafood vendors, live music & more. Fri 4 - 10 pm, Sat 11 am - 10 pm, Sun 11 am - 6 pm. Free general admission, Pioneer Park.

Forks & Corks Events -- various local wine tastings, food samplings & a main event at the Ringling Museum. For events & ticket info, see: https://www.eatlikealocal.com/forksandcorks/



SATURDAY

Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm. Please note: market has moved temporarily to First Street & Lemon due to construction going on in the Lemon & Main area.

Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.

Bradenton Farmers Market -- downtown Bradenton on Main Street, 9 am - 2 pm.

Goat Yoga -- yoga with the goats at Fruitville Grove, 7410 Fruitville Rd, 10 - 11 am, $25/person registration fee.

Tampa: Gasparilla -- annual event where the pirates sail into Tampa and capture the city for a day of fun, partying and the big parade. The invasion starts at 11:30 am, parade starts at 2 pm. For parking check the official Gasparilla website for shuttle information. (Please note: the family friendly childrens parade was last weekend.)

Sarasota Highland Games & Celtic Festival -- Highland games, dancing, music, food. Sarasota county fairgrounds, 9 am - 5 pm. $12/person.

Legendary singer Gladys Knight performs at the Van Wezel -- 8 pm. Ticket info at www.vanwezel.org




SATURDAY & SUNDAY

Shake, Rattle & Soul Fest -- celebrity impersonators from the music world entertain 3 - 9:30 pm, Robarts Arena at the Sarasota county fairgrounds. Tickets $34 & up, free parking.

Venice Craft Festival -- in downtown Venice on Miami Ave, 10 am - 5 pm.

St. Armand's Circle Arts Festival -- multiple vendors of art work, pottery, sculpture, etc. 10 am - 5 pm.

Sarasolo Festival -- celebration of local artists performing music, dance, improv & more. $15/person. Crocker Memorial Church on 12th St, Sarasota.





SUNDAY

Bridge Street Market --great farmers market option on Anna Maria Island, 10 am - 3 pm

Coquina Beach Market -- at the south end of Coquina Beach, 10 am - 4 pm

Siesta Key Farmers Market -- Siesta Village Plaza, 8 am - 2 pm

Siesta Key Drum Circle -- just before sunset at Siesta Key public beach, everyone welcome.

Ski-A-Rees ski show -- 2 - 3 pm, 1602 Ken Thompson Parkway (by Mote Marine).

Polo -- Sarasota Polo Club at Lakewood Ranch. Every Sunday thru April, 1 pm. $12/adult.

Legendary Jerry Lee Lewis (Great Balls of Fire) performs at the Van Wezel 7 pm. Ticket info at: www.vanwezel.org

Jewish Food Festival -- craft vendors, food, family friendly activities. 10 am - 3 pm. Free admission. Temple Sinai in Sarasota.

Deveraux - Kaiser Collector Car Meet -- huge event of pre 1994 vehicles. Food trucks on site. New location! Sarasota county fairgrounds, 10 am - 3 pm. Admission $5/person donation for the Sarasota Firefighters Benevolent Fund.
