Great Covid update this afternoon from Dr Fauci and others. Glad Dr Fauci set the record straight in no uncertain terms that all the vaccines being announced are as a direct or indirect result of Operation Warp Speed and they are all safe, which does away with the false narrative some Democrats leaders (Harris/Biden/Cuomo/Pelosi) were pushing for political reasons. It was also great to hear Dr Fauci and others make it crystal clear schools are safe and that's where kids should be. It was also great to hear them talk about all the deaths & health issues related to government over reach in trying to keep people pinned down.

Coronavirus vaccine won’t mean end of public health measures, Fauci says
https://www.foxnews.com/health/coron...ures-fauci.amp

Dr. Anthony Fauci, in a virtual discussion with The Hastings Center on Thursday, said the eventual vaccine is meant to protect the individual from getting sick from the coronavirus, but may not prevent that person from spreading the virus to others.

Fauci, when discussing Pfizer and Moderna’s results in clinical trials, explained that the vaccines are being evaluated to see if they prevent clinically apparent disease in the individual, and also to see if it prevents severe disease in a person who was inoculated. However, it is not yet clear what impact the vaccines may have on transmission.

“The issue is that you’re not going to be completely protected against a degree of infection that you might not even notice that you might be able to spread to others,” he said. “Which is the reason why the message you may have heard me say over the last couple weeks in the media is that getting vaccinated with a highly efficacious vaccine does not mean that you’re going to abandon completely public health measures.”

Dr. Fauci says vaccinating people who disregard Covid as 'fake news' could be 'a real problem'
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2020/11/19/...-problem-.html

White House coronavirus advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Thursday that convincing people who consider the coronavirus to be "fake news" to get vaccinated against the disease could become an issue as the nation seeks to achieve so-called herd immunity to suppress the pandemic.

Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has estimated that at least 75% of the country will need to be vaccinated against Covid-19, though ideally that figure would be higher.

A new Gallup poll released Tuesday found that 58% of surveyed adults said they would get vaccinated once it's available. While that's an increase from findings in September, it's still lower than the 66% who said they would get inoculated earlier in the pandemic.

Wow-- you are shockingly unformed to even suggest that the world renowned Director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases during one of the worst global pandemics ever is not "in the trenches".

Pathetic and very sad...

What's really bad is when the Obama Administration said gain-of-function research was too dangerous and banned it, so Fauci redirected funding for that research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and then a few years later Covid-19 escaped from that very lab.

Astra-Oxford Vaccine Prevents Average of 70% of Covid Cases
https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/med...es/ar-BB1bgS5e

https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/health-55040635

A Covid-19 vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca Plc prevented a majority of people from getting the disease in a large trial, another promising development in the quest to end the pandemic.

The vaccine stopped an average of 70% of participants from falling ill, an early analysis of the data show. That’s below the high bar set by Pfizer Inc. and Moderna Inc., but effectiveness rose to 90% for one of two dosing regimes, using half a dose followed by a full one later.

The results will be seen as a triumph, but come after Pfizer and Moderna vaccines showed 95% protection.

However, the Oxford jab is far cheaper, and is easier to store and get to every corner of the world than the other two.
