Hi Everyone,
Although a number of events have been canceled or postponed because of Covid-19, we do still have events going on for those who wish to get out and participate.
Please keep in mind that as of writing this post, all of the following events are expected to take place as planned. However, since we are still dealing with the Covid virus, please keep in mind that event schedules are subject to change with little notice.
Here's a list of fun things I've found that are going on in the Sarasota - Bradenton - Venice area this weekend:
THURSDAY, NEW YEAR'S EVE
Unfortunately the Pineapple Drop in downtown Sarasota and bayfront fireworks have been canceled for 2020.
A number of local restaurants & bars are still offering New Year's Eve celebrations. Here are a few:

University Town Center mall is offering a family friendly New Year's Eve celebration -- DJ, games, entertainment plus their Holiday Activities of ice skating, etc 1 - 5 pm, free admission. Fireworks at 9 pm.
SATURDAY
Sarasota Farmers Market -- downtown at Lemon & Main, 7 am - 1 pm.
Central Sarasota Farmers Market -- corner Proctor & Beneva, 8 am - 1 pm.
Bradenton Farmers Market -- on Old Main Street (400 12th St W), 9 am - 2 pm. Veggies, organics, fresh eggs, seafood and more.
Venice Farmers Market -- at the Centennial Park parking lot, 9 am - noon.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Venice Home Show -- hundreds of vendors, latest in home & garden. Free admission. Venice Community Center. Sat 10 am - 5 pm, Sun 10 am - 4 pm.
SUNDAY
Polo at Lakewood Ranch -- Sarasota Polo grounds in Lakewood Ranch, gates open 10 am, matches start 1 pm. $15/adult, children ages 15 & under get in free.
