I wonder if all the Red Tide cleaned up our water so well, the seaweed might not have any pollutants to feed upon, and avoid our area.

The water is so clean now that the Red Tide could no longer find enough pollutants to stay alive, so maybe the extra clean water will repel the Sargassum too.
Todays report looks good south of St Pete. Hope holds, as family is coming next week. The seaweed - one thing I know. Lots of sea lice lives in it. Experienced that one year. Uff . But man of war is out and about. One thing about them n jelly fish - don’t sit where they once laid in the sand.

Just get used to it. Maybe "Wear a mask?" I'm sure some Politician will spin this into a beneficial algal bloom for purposes of continued financial growth. Keep it quiet from all who don't know.....shhhhhhhhh! Did I hear someone say "SEALICE" ?

Was at North Jetty last evening for sunset stroll. Brrrr....!!

Red Tide was gone but some seaweed was already there (it already covered the jetty's lower rocks). The faint stench was also already there.

Mexico spent a lot of money trying to keep it off its beaches. They also put a barrier - I guess kind of like the one they use for oil spills. Looked like it worked. But will the Fl Governor do anything before it’s too late??
