Hi everyone… just wondering if some Sarasotans can help me out with a few verdicts on how family-friendly they feel the city/county is… could do with some words on leisure opportunities for families; schools etc. If you have relocated here, what made you choose Sarasota? Please feel free to chime in if you are thinking of relocating here too!
I’m trying to gather some input for an article in our local monthly, SRQ Magazine, and your thoughts – good or bad! – would be most welcome.

I live in Sarasota county, (North Port, 30 minutes south of Sarasota) I teach in the Sarasota school system. We are a very family friendly community and the schools are excellent. The city of Sarasota offers a variety of events for all members of the family, from the beautiful beaches to the opera! We love it and find things to do every weekend. If you want more info on the city, just go to the Chamber of Commerce website and have them send you information on our city. Good luck to you
