Smiledoc - Just closed on house - thank you!
Just wanted to say we are pleased as punch that we closed yesterday on a beautiful little house in Sarasota, with the help of our wonderful buyer's agent that was recommended to us by "Smiledoc" here on this forum. I had already done all my preliminary research and knew what we wanted and where we wanted it - but our agent was a terrific negotiator and did a lot to help us get is closed and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend him, if anyone wants to PM me for his name (or also get it from Smiledoc)
We are rather unconventional in that we have owned two homes for the past 10 years, starting with a house right next door, then a second home in NC (a ten hour drive) and now we have a house in Lakeland and only a one and a half hour drive to Sarasota! It was a deal too good to pass up. I admit we didn't love Sarasota that much when we lived there 11 years ago, but something has happened and it has morphed into a fantastic community - just the kind of place I always wanted it to be. And it has so much natural beauty. We feel very blessed.
Once again, thanks Smiledoc - we couldn't be happier!

Hi Gypsychic,
Glad things worked out for you and that you enjoy your house. Isn't it nice to work with a good broker?
I have been out of the country for a few weeks and am behind on this forum. Need a few days to catch up!!
Congrats again,
Best,

smiledoc or other palmer ranch area residents - any thoughts on palmer vs. lakewood now that you've been in the area a while? specifically, comparison of locations and amenities? thanks so.

Fish,
We don't live full time in Palmer Ranch. We are snowflakes who will move there in a few years. We like the Palmer Ranch area because it was close to the airport, beaches and downtown. LWR was too far from the action for us. We just didn't get the right feeling.
Best,
