SO MANY HOMES...they all look so much alike that it was like going through the automat food-line...
where are all the people that will buy these homes when there are so few JOBS in this area...

that is what needs to be developed--businesses with jobs that pay a decent wage to bring people into this area...

why is FL not doing more with solar technology and wind farms in the Gulf--are environmentalists preventing wind farms because of birds' flight patterns--I know that is a legitimate concern but birds are not stupid...they can adapt...

I agree birds are not stupid. But, they need our protection, because if we live solely by the "they can adapt or die" mentality, then half of all the species on earth would become extinct. It is our duty and responsibility to protect them.

So far, information has shown that bats and migratory birds who fly at night are the most susceptible to being killed by these windmills. The noise created by wind turnbines located off shore has been shown to impact fish and other aquatics.

In an area of Kansas, where there are numerous windmill farms, there was no duck hunting season. The ducks no longer visit the area because they have "adapted". The children of these areas will no longer be able to enjoy seeing a duck in the wild. It would be a high price to pay if we didn't get to see our Great Blue Herons, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, and Red-tailed Hawks any longer.

Solar energy seems to have less impact on our environment.
