Question thanksgiving/christmas help?
does anyone know of any one around Venice giving help to those who need it mainly for xmas? i have found the toys for tots.. heres this info i have

The YMCA at 701 Center Rd in Venice is
taking applications for Toys for Tots until
Dec. 1st Thier hours are Mon-Fri 5am - 9:30pm
Sat. 7am - 5pm and Sun 9am - 5pm
492-9622

anything else would be great!

Speak to the United Methodist Church on Center Road, I know they are involved in helping the needy throught the year. They are also involved in things like: cooking for the homeless, especialy at Christmas time.

Call 211 and they will know the most up to date info - in Charlotte County the Salvation Army has stopped taking apps, but DCF is accepting them until Dec. 1st. 211 (social services info - free call) should also have listings of the churches in the area that are helping out this year. Good luck!
