Default Sarasota addresses
How do addresses, in general, work in Sarasota? Are lower numbers on east-west streets closer to the water?

Addresses at the bay are the lowest. Along 301/41 the addresses are 2000, Tuttle 2800, Beneva 3600, McIntosh 4400, Cattlemen 5800, numbers continue higher going east.
Main St is the dividing line for north- south numbers starting at 100. Numbers go higher going north. Past the airport near Whitfield is 8000. Numbers go higher going south. The numbers just past the Mall are 8400
