Here's how I would rank them and why. This is strickly my own personal opinion:
Mission Valley Estates-I like the extra space that most of the property has, many of the homes are large in here, pretty lakes throughout the subdivision.

Englewood Isles-It has gulf access, many of the homes have tile roofs which gives the community kind of a Spanish feel, like the mature landscaping.

Jacaranda East-close to golfing and tennis, but I'm not a golfer or tennis player so not that important to me. Kinda average neighborhood.

South Venice-I like the fact that it has it's own ferry over to the beach. I don't like the lack of uniformity in south Venice. You may have a brand new really nice house then right next door there's a complete dump with car up on blocks. That kind of bothers me.

I understand what you mean about South Venice--much of older FL has pretty lax building/zoning restrictions from what we can see and the newer developments are about 100% the other way...

is there any difference in which area might have more young families vs older, retired owners
is there one that has more of a renter population vs owner occupied

are there any where you know the HOA is either a pain or pretty well run
where there is better /worse type of shopping/road access....
