Whereabouts did you buy a lot in PC ?

We are going to be on Conreid. Just off of Edgewater, on a T canal, one bridge and out. When we were there in February we went up the canal in Big House's boat (thanks again) and there were dolphins jumping along in front of and beside us. It was great. Our view is fantastic, and everybody coming from the upper canals will have to come past us to get out. When we're not in our boat, we plan to be sitting on our dock with a cocktail watching the other boats going by.

It's great isn't it? Enjoy. This is such a bargain if you consider that a similar place, sq ftage etc is a LOT higher just 2 1/2 hours away in Broward Cnty and we don't have the troubles they do. I lived in Ft Lauderdale for half my life and believe me I've been at times highly critical of the west coast in general since moving here 8 years ago. But all things considered? This place is a deal.

SoFlGal called it a "steal" actually!! Don't want to publicly announce the price we paid, BUT back in 2005 it sold for 5 times what we paid for it.

It WAS a steal! I can't believe what you guys got your lot for, amazing I think PC is fine and I would still probably still be there if it weren't for me wanting my kids to go to Pine View and the requirement to live in Sarasota county.

Exactly. Everybody has different goals and wants and needs. Our's are simple. Boat, canal, pool, lanai, cocktails, dock with a Bucky Badger flag.

Personally, I think all of these areas are nice areas...It just depends what you want.....and getting a great deal doesn't hurt either.

I felt like I needed a new/newer home, close to the highway (for work), and not near a flood zone.
North Port fit that quite nicely and I'm really happy here.

But I like Punta Gorda (a lot), Venice, Englewood, and different parts of Port Charlotte.

Since my car still has a steering wheel and brakes, I can visit any of these places anytime I want....and I don't have to live there.
