My wife and I live in SD. Last fall there was reorganization within the financial institution where I worked and my position no longer exists there. I was in the trust and investments field. In addition I have a JD. I would like to return to the trust field. Unfortunately even when the economy rebounds there is unlikely to be much opportunity here.

We visited the Sarasota/Venice area last fall with thoughts of relocation. As the economy continued to worsen we put off those plans. Currently I am reevaluating that decision. I am aware of the high unemployment rate. That being said I believe that there would be more opportunity than here especially when the economic situation improves.

My wife can transfer her employment and I am willing to take an alternate or temporary position until another opportunity arises. We do have sufficient savings to supplement our income for a period of time.

I would like to visit the area again soon. I would appreciate your thoughts on the trust and investments field in the area. If anyone is aware of any contacts I should make I would also appreciate that information. As I stated earlier I am willing to take alternate work. What employment agencies would you recommend I contact? I look forward to any information which you may believe would be beneficial.
