Opinions on Cottages at Blu Vista
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has any information on this community. The houses look cute but I can't get a feel for the area. Thanks for the help!

All I can tell you is that some/most of the homes were built by Reinhart Homes, and they don't have a CDD. The fees are pretty reasonable, $525 per year. Some of the homes front lakes or preserves and the community is located just north of I-75 off University Pkwy.

Thanks, SoFLGal! Is Reinhart a reputable builder? How far a drive is that from say, in town Sarasota and Siesta Beach?
PS Did I ever tell you to thank your Mom for spending the day with us back in October? She was great!

Thanks Lynn! Glad you had a good time
Here's the website for the builder. They have some info on there: Rinehart Homes Development Team They are known as a "luxury builder" in town. I think they also built some homes over in Secluded Oaks subdivision. My daughters boyfriend lives in there so I've seen a few of those homes. It's a pretty nice area and the homes look well built. I've never heard anything bad about them in town. In 2008 Reinhart won Best Curb Appeal, Best Kitchen, Best Master Suite, Best Floor Plan, Best Architectural Detail, Best Overall, for the Blackburn at Cottages at Blu Vista.
You'd be about 15 minutes or 8 miles from downtown Sarasota. Siesta Beach is about 30 minutes or 15 miles.

I live in a Rinehart home built in Secluded Oaks. Steve is a very good man and builds really nice quality homes. I highly recommend his homes to everyone. We had lived in Maryland for years before moving to Sarasota and had a horrible time with the builder who had built our last home. The contrast between the large builder we had in Maryland and Rinehart was huge.

Thanks for posting! It's always nice to hear first hand testimonials from customers. Glad you like the home and welcome to the board
