Sex On the Beach
Well today I got an eyefull at Caspersens Bch. Two men were engaging in a sexual act right out in the open on the beach. When I turned toward them to let them know they were seen, one waved at me as if to say keep going, move on. I let them know I was reporting this illegal behavior and they did not seem worried in the least. Is it now acceptable to have sex on the beach? Did I miss a law change? There were families with young children walking down this beach towards them. I let them know what was ahead, but this should never be necessary on a PUBLIC beach.Yes I did call the police and I will follow up, but that is not enough, more people need to speak up and put a stop to this behavior. We need to take the beach back from the perverts. The beach is for ALL of us to enjoy and no one group should have the audasity to think they own a section for themselves. And before someone writes that I'm gay bashing, let me say I do not care what your preference is and any sexual act on the beach is illegal and unacceptable.

Yuck, just Yuck! You did the right thing. It doesn't matter gay or straight, there is a place for that, and it certainly is not our Public Beaches, or the surrounding public areas!

People just don't respect others. I went to Denny's for breakfast, didn't even get my cup of coffee yet and two younger people sat directly across from me and decided to suck face like there was no tomorrow. I of course had to say really loud ARE YOU KIDDING ME. :-)... They got the hint and just gave me a nasty look.

Whoa! Thought you were gonna ask about the best place to grab a drink!
Sad to say, maybe it's time to find another beach. I've gone to Nokomis Beach many times and never had to deal with this kind of nonsense. It's just a bit north of Caspersen. Here's a map that shows where it is in relation to Caspersen. Maybe you want to try there.

This was a true sexual act, not a show of affection. These two didn't even leave after I confronted them and told them I was calling the police. We need to send a strong message we will not tolerate this on OUR beaches. The squeaky wheel gets the oil we all need to call the Sheriffs dept and demand increased patrol.I did but the more noise the more attention it will get. We do not have to accept that this is the way it is when it illegal.

Yes I used to think sex on the beach was a drink also! All kidding aside, this is just not acceptable. I am not doing anything illegal or immoral so I will not be the one who has to look for another place to go. I don't believe in letting bullies win, and that's what they are. They are intimidating us out of our rights to enjoy the beaches we pay for with our taxes. If enough of us call, write etc to local government and police agencies they will listen.

I remember when I was a kid Lido Beach used to be a nude beach. Of course, it's not that way anymore.
Before I posted my last post I asked my husband what the name of the beach is that we go to up there. I said, "Isn't it Caspersen?' and he said, "No, that's the gay beach. We go to Nokomis." So, I guess it's kind of a well known fact.
If you go to Google and type in "Caspersen Beach gays" you'll get quite an eye opener. I have many gay friends and don't think this is necessarily a "gay thing" but rather a moral issue. There are many nudist beaches throughout the state where, if someone wanted to walk around in their "all together" they could.
There were many discussions on Caspersen but this was about the only one I could find that was acceptable to copy:
ThongBoard
The only reason I copied it is because there's some insight on how the police are dealing with the issue. People are referring to it as a "thonging beach". Looks like it's not just gays, but straights and everyone in between.
Here's someone that wrote a letter to the Editor a few days ago about their views:

Let me say too that I am certainly not a prude and would have no problem if two women or two men were holding hands. Just like I wouldn't have a problem if a man and woman were holding hands. To each their own. But the whole sex on the beach deal is going a bit too far. Whether it's a same sex or opposite sex, it's not acceptable.

Well no one whether gay or straight should be acting lewd on a beach. Now that that's out of the way, it seems to me some on here simply have a problem with others of alternative lifestyles. And lastly, altho one shouldn't have to, but aren't strands of beaches big? Why do you choose to congregate where this activity seems to be going on? Some people go looking and snooping with wandering eyes hoping to find something indecent/naughty and can't handle it once they do. Just wondering if you're one of those snoopy types.
