Default Charlotte County land setbacks

we are starting to plan our pool. Does anyone know before I try ringing the County inspector -what are the setbacks side and rear for pools? I know they are different to those for homes but cant find it on the CC website.
TIA

I believe 8' from the side and 15' from the rear, but don't quote me on it. Call the zoning office to be sure

Bravo Jvelte!

The side lot line and rear lot line setbacks shall not apply to a garage located 50 feet or more from the minimum building setback line, except that on corner lots, no structure shall be permitted nearer than 20 feet to the front line of the said corner lot nor nearer than 15 feet to the side street lot line. As one builder to another: "Measure twice - Cut once"
Make the call and find out for sure.
Site Plan Review Process

Also you could call a local civil engineering firm and they can also tell you of any exceptions, and other items that you may want to consider that may be peculiar to the Rotunda Area.

Good Luck with that pool project!

Also be advised that if you live in a community with power poles in the rear, any drops running from the pole to your house have to be moved if the wires go over the pool area.
