Longboat Key - Restaurants (Sarasota, Bradenton: loft, homes, airport)

My wife and I will be visiting the Sarasota area at the end of July...we will be staying on Longboat Key and will be vacationing as well as looking at several homes in the area...

I was wondering if anyone could recommend the restaurants that they liked the best - seafood especially - and perhaps some lunch/brunch spots to try as well...

Crab & Fin on St Armand's is quite good. Moore's Stone Crab Restaurant is another really good restaurant. Also the Mar Vista is a great place to sit out on the patio on the bayside and have lunch. Both restaurants are on the north end of Longboat Key.

For desserts try the Haye Loft in Euphemia Haye. It's about mid key. They're to die for

Capt Brian's Seafood over by the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport has some of the best grouper sandwich's and seafood gumbo. The atmosphere is not that spiffy but the food is great.

All those mentioned are awesome, but I highly suggest PattieGeorge's as one of the keys best kept secrets! On the water and the food is created by culinary masterminds.
