looking for info and rental in sarasota/osprey (North Port, Venice: neighborhood, school)

i want to move near pine view school. i am on the beach now, with a fairly small 3/2 with one very large bedroom for $1300 and would like to have an equally nice place around the same price very close to school or convenient bus stop near school.

is there a particularly good neighborhood for a single mom in late 30's from boca raton and a precocious 2nd grader used to a lot of nature walks and organic food?

I would say Palmer Ranch-Turtle Rock or Rivendell but I don't think you could get anything in either for $1300 per month. You might be able to pick up a rental in the south Venice area for that amount. The other option is North Port but that's around 35 minutes away.

I'm not sure if your child has already been tested for Pine View but if you were looking for this year I believe the enrollment period has already closed but you might want to call the Sarasota county school board to verify this.
