Oh, Lady forgive me, I didnt mean hot temperature wise, I mean hot beautiful wise. I'm sorry that I need to clarify my flirtation. Just Kidding. I do think that working out a great thing, and it really does make you feel better in so many ways.

I also don't mean to support contractors that do shoddy or bad work, because there really are a ton of them. I would like to note though, times like this really weed out the bad ones. Because smart people, and most consumers that spend money these days are very cautious, are checking the back ground of the contractors they higher, and the bad ones are not getting ANY work right now. Those that offer good pricing, and do good work, and have done that in the past to maintain their reputation will survive this bad market and will flourish in the future.

You were a smart buyer by checking everything you did, and it still didn't pay off. Sometimes (like you said) the best laid plans don't work out.

That's right loves2read. Concerning this "Chi-Wall" issue, You said - "some of this went up before anyone realized what they were dealing with"...I'll tell you - it - ALL WENT UP - before anyone knew what they were dealing with. The corrosive effects on appliances, electrical connections, and coils in air handler units were not immediately evident. (No Duh?) Sometimes a strong odor in the house...but sometimes not. Then when A/C techs went out to replace the coils in the air handler units - they didn't know what caused the problem either. People were thinking... defective appliances, or defective coils, etc?... It took a long, long time for the root cause of these problems to be found, and the CPSC is obviously still investigating the effects of the "Chi-Wall" problem. Nobody knew then, and nobody completely knows now. I've seen some contributors to these type of forums voice their opinion that all contractors involved in the supply or installation of "Chi-Wall" did it because they are ALL just greedy contractors installing cheap junk for a fast buck. That's just not true. People thinking like that truly have no idea what they are talking about.
